Stop-motion animated feature set in a 19th century town: A
young man and a young woman are being compelled to marry without ever having
met, because his wealthy but common parents and her poor but aristocratic
parents decide that the match will be beneficial for their respective
situations. But when the man runs away from the rehearsal into a dark forest and
inadvertently places the ring on the finger of a buried corpse he is in for a
surprise when the corpse comes out of the ground to say "I do." With the voices
of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Tracey Ullman and Paul
