Tom Hanks stars as a man traveling from his Eastern
European country to the US, only to become trapped in an airport terminal when
after a coup his country's government is no longer recognized by the American
government. With an invalid passport he can neither go back nor leave the
airport. Summarily confined by the Homeland Security Director (Stanley Tucci) to
the international lounge, nine months later he's still living in an under
construction airport gate, making friends and even falling in love with an
airline flight attendant (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Also with Chi McBride and Diego
