A once successful Hollywood director (Al Pacino) desperate for a hit is given a gift by a computer geek, just when his star walks
off the film set: The gift is Simone, a digital actress who will do exactly what her director tells her to do, and speaks only using his own words. As
her fame skyrockets, he's forced to come up with excuses as to why no one has ever met her. It all turns into a nightmare when he desperately tries to
