Robert Downey Jr. stars as a petty thief who stumbles into
an Hollywood movie audition while running from the police, lands the part, and
is assigned to private detective training. The training involves working with a
real private detective, played by Val Kilmer, and trying to solve a real case of
a suicide that may be murder. Also with Michelle Monaghan, Joel Michaely and
