A psychologist (Robert DeNiro) whose wife committed
suicide, moves to the country with his young daughter (Dakota Fanning), trying
to recover from the experience. Shortly after their arrival his daughter begins
behaving strangely, and talks about having made a new friend named Charlie.
Originally it seems that Charlie is an imaginary friend, but soon evidence that
Charlie is real become painfully obvious. Also with Famke Janssen, Dylan Baker
