A thoroughly unlucky man (William H. Macy) is employed by a
Las Vegas casino as a "cooler": His job is to make sure that winning streaks by
casino patrons are "cooled" down, since his unluckiness is evidently contagious.
However, when he and a cocktail waitress (Maria Bello) fall in love, his luck
changes, and so does his usefulness. So the casino's crooked director (Alec
Baldwin) tries to break up the romance. Also with Ron Livingston and Paul
Sorvino. Directed by Wayne Kramer. [1:43 - PG-13]
